REDS BACK TO WINNING WAYS

After two defeats in a row and us not scoring for two games it was important to get back to winning ways..and the lads responded by churning out a solid display winning the game 5-1

We went with three up top for this game trying to play on the front foot and get the goals flowing again and it didn’t take long Ethan Kidd going one on one and sending the keeper the wrong way 1-0 VILLA..with the game being played on the stadium pitch at bell vue there wasn’t much room as it’s a small venue but the lads still managed to play some decent football and no 2 was soon to follow this time it was ismael who pounced on a loose ball in the box 2-0 VILLA...our goal keeper for the day was Caiden who could of done nothing about the springhead goal a twenty yard screamer into the top corner 2-1..Caiden had a great game always does a job for the team and never complains highlight was a second half save bravely cheating the ball out from point blank range...ismael has been in and out of the team this season but made the most of his opportunity scoring out third 3-1 VILLA ..then nearly claiming a first half hat trick hitting the post just before the break 3-1 HT..

The lads and the management were determined to get the result and me and Gaz were super proud of the way the lads took this game on weathering an early storm in the second half then pushing for the all important 4th goal and it came from Millsy a 20 yard shot giving the keeper no chance 4-1 VILLA..the final goal came from a corner and it was man of the match mason valentine scoring his first goal getting there before the springhead defender 5-1 VILLA ..mason v has settled in great fearless in a tackle good composure on the ball and looks like he’s bin part of the team for months not weeks..well done mason 👏🏻👏🏻...FT 5-1

So back to winning ways for the lads and a top of the table clash to look forward too this weekend thanks for your support

REDS CRASH OUT TO PREMIER OPPOSITION

This was a really tough test for our lads up against a team holding there own in the emjfl premier division..

We held our own for most parts of the first half but not creating chances everything we threw forward was mopped up by a strong well organised defence...it was my idea to play Alvin through the middle play 4 at the back and try to get something on the break...but unfortunately it was altrincham who made the breakthrough scoring 2 before the break 0-2 HT...

With the wind behind altrincham in the second half we struggled to get the ball out and altrincham ended up running riot scoring 6 more 8-0 FT

few lessons learned for the lads man of the mason v never gave in even when the match was well and truly over thanks for your support

FIRST DEFEAT OF THE SEASON

The lads came off second best on Sunday in a top of the table clash to a well organised stalybridge team..

Our 15 match unbeaten run came to an end on Sunday in what was a frustrating day for villa not finding the target for the first time this season, the lads enjoyed plenty of the ball and created some chances in the first half but staly were solid at the back packing the box out and snuffing our attracts out..they had chances of there own and broke the deadlock just before HT hitting us on the break 1-0 HT

The second half was much more of the same and we could of played all day and not score it was one of those days...man of the match was kai he has been exceptional this season and he never put a foot / glove wrong,,kai and Alvin have had there training at united extended well done boys 👏🏻👏🏻...

The game Finished 1-0 FT...we can take a lot from the game especially the way our opponents got back and worked hard all over the pitch something we spoke about at training..back in county cup action this weekend against premier league opposition altrincham reds..

Want to thank Gaz for his hard work over the last few months the lads are responding well to him and we have got plenty of ideas going forward....thanks for your support COYV

REDS MARCH INTO THE NEXT ROUND

our first venture into the county cup was one to remember as the lads ran out 10-1 winners, booking our place in Round 3...

Playing away from home In difficult conditions was a real test for the lads the pitch is something they very rarely play on,,but they did us proud playing some good football...the game was one way traffic for most parts the tika taka keeper was keeping his side in the game with some great saves..Millsy had a 20 yard strike go in off the bar but the red waved played on...our defence stood strong snuffing out every tika taka attack,,but the deadlock was broken when mason pounced to make it 1-0 VILLA ..the second came soon after and it was mason again who squeezed the ball under the keeper 2-0 VILLA HT....

The second half was much of the same and the lads started to find there shooting boots scoring 8 times in the second half,Ethan on his debut scoring a hat trick 👏🏻👏🏻..his second goal our 6th was goal of the game, the move started from kai and the lads passed there way through the tika taka team finishing with a plot great team goal..mason claimed a hat trick caiden and Alfie got 1 each and man of the match millsys scored the other 2..his eye for a pass and team play has come on this season 8 goals and 8 assists for jay 👏🏻👏🏻..an all round great display from the lads..back to the league this week and a big game against stalybridge who are unbeaten...

Thanks for the brilliant support on Sunday roll on the next round COYV🏆

REDS GO OUT ON PENS

unfortunately We bow out of the fa cup losing the game on penalty kicks, after holding our own against a division 2 side.

We started the game well and the lads were first to the ball and we started to create some chances but we were faced with a keeper on top form who made some brilliant saves during the match..but he could do nothing about our opening goal the ball breaking to mason who burried it into the top corner 1-0 VILLA...springhead storm were struggling to break our defence down all the defenders doing there job...but the equaliser came just before the break 1-1 HT ...

The second half was a tense affair with the lads pushing to find a winning goal..again the springhead keeper coming to there rescue on numerous occasions unfortunately it was one of those days and the game went to penalties..

One great save from kai in the shoot put wasn’t enough as we missed 2 losing 4-3 on pens..back to league action this weekend with 3 points up for grabs ...onwards and upwards COYV

man of the match leo for his second half performance solid and shown confidence on the ball 👏🏻👏🏻

HONOURS SHARED IN THRILLER

The lads were involved in a thriller this morning sharing 8 goals against a decent west gorton team 4-4 this was a step up in class for our lads and in game of two half’s they held there own and more...

With the early kick off I was worried we would start slowly..but we came flying out of the blocks taking an early lead ...Millsy latched onto a loose ball and claimed his 5 th goal of the season with a fine Finnish 1-0 VILLA ...we had west gorton on the back foot with chances a plenty and the second came from Alvin latching onto a long ball from kai he finished with a plom 2-0 VILLA,,a perfect start from villa and a well deserved 2-0 lead...no 3 came from Alvin who scored from the edge of the box shooting into the roof of the net 3-0 VILLA...a dream start for even better another long ball from kai who’s distribution is first class sent ismael one on one and his finish was brilliant guiding the ball in of the post 4-0 VILLA..then came the turning point,we had a fifth goal disallowed and west gorton went up the other end a perfectly timed tackle was penilised by the ref and they scored from the free kick 4-1 HT...

This gave west gorton hope and they started to show there class they have some quality players and it was back to wall for most of the second half there was some scrappy goals and the boys need to react quicker in the box and be more decisive when clearing our lines..in the end we were happy to hear the final whistle FT 4-4..man of the match was kian wright who ran the game in the first half Winning tackles and getting us on the front foot...well played kian 👏🏻👏🏻..

Game of two half’s and a good learning curve for the lads plenty for me and Gaz to get stuck into,Big cup game on sunday against springhead storm in the fa cup rnd 2 thanks for your support and we will see you at training Wednesday COYV 🏆

REDS BACK ON TOP

The mission at the start of the day was to Claim the 3 points which we knew would send us back to the top of the league...the lads didn't disappoint winning 8-4 in another comfortable victory which is now 8 on the trott well done lads 👏🏻👏🏻...

It was another slow start from our lads for the second week running we had to wait for them to score to wake up,which against better opposition will cost us,its something we need to put right on the training pitch...along with defending set pieces (top of the list for training this week)..1-0 DOM DOYLE ..things were difficult in the first half against the wind but that didn't stop us from grabbing the equaliser through Alfie Dixon a fine ball from Millsy found Dixon who steered the ball into the roof of the net 1-1..the second came soon after a defence splitting through ball from connor Robinson sent Millsy one on one with the keeper and he cooling lifted the ball over the keeper 2-1 VILLA HT..

We scored virtually straight from the kick off Millsy grabbing his second with another fine Finnish 3-1VILLA...we raced into a 8-1 lead mason x2 Millsy with another 2 and jaime howarth making it 8-1 some great finishing from the lads everyone is chipping in and fighting to get in the starting line up next weeks game against west gorton...pick of the goals was millsys free kick with 4 goals and 2 assists jay was the man of the match 👏🏻👏🏻..
We ended the match conceding 3 sloppy goals all from set pieces 8-4 FT

Want to thank Gaz curly for his help he has come in and is doing a great job with the lads,we need to make sure the lads keep there eye on the ball two big games coming up first it's west gorton 8-45 kick off...so we need the lads in bed early sat night ready to go toe to toe with a decent side

REDS MARCH INTO ROUND 2

Reddish villa reds booked there place in round two of the fa challenge cup with a convincing 5-1 win against division 2 side droylsden panthers

It was a slow start from our lads a very physical droylsden team made life difficult in the early stages taking a 1-0 lead a long ball over the top caught us out and there non10 raced clear to score 1-0 panthers..credit to our defenders joe and caiden for keeping him quite for the rest of the game with some brave defending...we were soon on level terms Millsy found a perfect pass over the top which Alvin latched onto to make it 1-1 HT..

The second half was a tense affair with the game locked atb1-1 for 15 mins of the second half we were creating chances but the panthers goal was leading a charmed life..our second goal came from a free kick...Alvin sent a rocket into the top corner with good work from mason blocking the keepers view a brilliant strike 2-1 VILLA..the lads dominated the last ten minutes mason getting on the score sheet with a great ball from kai who was again first class 👌🏻..Mason got in one and one rounded the keeper 3-1VILLA..no 4 came from mason who latched onto a lose ball to score his 7th of the season 4-1 VILLA..Alvin then went onto seal his second hat trick in as many games,,first to react if an Alfie Dixon flick Alvin finished with a plom 5-1 VILLA FT

A great start to the season tbe lads are playing some great football and are showing great character in coming from a goal down to win just like the cup final...some big games on the horizon so let's get down to buisness on the training pitch...

REDS HIT THE GROUND RUNNING

The plan at the start of the game was to hit the ground running and the lads certainly did that cruising to a 9-0 win against denton youth yellows..

The first half was one way traffic the villa boys ripped through the denton defence on numerous occasions..the lads are starting to pass the ball in the right areas and we are creating plenty of chances...we raced into a 7-0 lead mason x4 Alvin X2 and ismael X1 some great finishes from our strikers doing there job..a first half hat trick for our new striker mason on his league debut earning him man of the match well done mason...7-0HT

the second half was much of the same our defence all showing for the ball and starting attack after attack the confidence is growing in every player and starting to show on the pitch..masons 5th goal soon came with a crisp left foot half volley into the top corner 8-0 villa..the ninth came from Alvin securing his hat trick with a poachers Finnish 9-0 VILLA FT

🏆PAUL HETT CUP WINNERS🏆

A brilliant end to a brilliant season for our reddish villa reds...the lads showed great character coming back from a goal down to clinch victory in the cup final..

We were robbed of our captain Kian wright due to suspension which meant we had to shuffle the defence to fill the gap...joe c stepped in and did a brilliant job from start to finish..the whole defence was on there game Ewan leo joe and kai looked solid all afternoon well done boys 👏🏻👏🏻...

We started the game on the front foot,,it didn't take us long to settle which In a big game like this is a good sign for the future..the lads camped in the Corinthians half but didn't create many clear cut chances and any Corinthians attacks were quickly stopped by our defence...we defo had the better of the first half but didn't manage to make the pressure pay the Corinthians keeper was having one of those days ..0/0 HT

the second half started like the first villa reds putting the pressure on,but it was MC who took the lead a break from midfield left joe with too much to do and the big striker beat kai to make it 1-0 MC ...there was 10 minutes to go and we were looking for some inspiration from someone and it came from Ewan Forbes...the ball got cleared out into Ewan's path it took one bounce before Ewan fired it back over the keeper and into the top corner (another worldy)...he doesn't score tap ins 1-1..the lads continued to press showing composure in passing moves looking for an opening...the whole midfeild and forwards are linking up very well and with only a minute to go connor won the ball on the right hand side fed it into caiden who slid a n inch perfect ball into Alvin's path, who made no mistake rolling the ball into the corner sending the players parents and coaches into a mass celebration...what a feeling and a brilliant way to end the season 🏆...that's 2 winners medals in 2 years 🥇🥇,with the squad we have there's no reason why we can't do it again next season thanks for your support you did us all proud 👏🏻👏🏻

This is the start of our journey me and glen have big plans for the team these lads deserve the best of everything and I'll make sure they get it...

REDS BOOK FINAL SPOT

Our lads were involved in another thriller this morning seeing off a decent Queensgate team to book our spot in the cup final on May 1st..they have all done us proud on route to the final winning 3 on the bounce to get there...(we were a spot kick away from going out in rnd 1)...

With a decent kick off time for once and a full squad to pick from I was confident we would compete today,we started quickly our passing was on point playing our way through the Queensgate defence creating a couple of early chances it wasn't long before we broke the deadlock Ismael latched onto a Millsy flick on and buried his shot past the oncoming keeper great finish 1-0 VILLA...we were comfy during the first half but didn't create too much..Queensgate drew level with a direct free kick Kai had no chance 1-1 HT

we took control in the second half for most parts creating more chances but not converting the Queensgate goal was living a charmed life...midway through the second half we found the second a great ball into the box from a corner fell to the feet of alvin who knocked it into the net 2-1 VILLA it was a physical game and our midfield/defence stood strong the ever impressive Caiden getting stuck in wit the help from our solid defence Joe Leo Ewan Kian Kai 👏🏼👏🏼...number 3 was a carbon copy of the send alvin on hand to make it 3-1 and score his tenth of the Season well done alvin 3-1 VILLA ...FT

Man of the match Jamie howarth impressive on the ball today bringing his team mates into the game every player deserves a mention as a team they have come on loads there playing some good football and they are bonding as a team, well done lads 👏🏼👏🏼

REDS CRUISE INTO SEMI FINAL

A local derby this morning in the quarter final of the cup and a game that our lads dominated from start to finish keeping a clean sheet and booking our place in another semi final...

Can't fault the lads this morning they all turned up and showed us what there all about..our record is good against RNE winning 3 out of 3 this season, shame we can't play them every week 😉...going back to the start of the season I never would of imagined that we would be where we are regarding our football at times it's brilliant and if the lads keep getting the basics right we will go a long way..we started on the front foot today camping in the north end half creating good chances with some good football...our goalkeeper Kai was at his very best this morning his distribution is first class and on this small pitch he threads some lovely balls to our front 4...this was how the first goal came alvin latching onto a through ball keeping his cool and slotting into the bottom corner 1-0 VILLA HT

The second half was much more of the same good passing movements and solid defending with Caiden shielding the defence brilliantly...our second goal was a great move finished of by Ismael he bravely headed in when the keeper was coming out to make it 2-0 VILLA.. now the sun is shining ismael is playing well winning man of the match and trainer of the week in the same week (well done ish) there was a couple of incidents that the ref missed but typically seen the one where chopper kicked out and the ref shown him the red card,I haven't a problem with the lads sticking up for themselves I'm sure this won't be the last red Kian sees in his career but it's the way he plays (he takes no prisoners)...we were down to 8 men for the last 10 minutes and the lads did more than hold on we were very comfy winning 2-0 FT

semi final next weekend vs Queensgate should be a great game and me glen and the squad are looking forward to it already thanks for your support and I'll see you on Wednesday COME ON VILLA 👊🏻👏🏼🏆

MISSED CHANCES COST REDS

Another tight game this morning coming out on the losing side in what was a tight game but one we didn't deserve to lose...the springhead keeper was man of the match he made 3/4 great saves in the first half which kept them in the game...

The first half we started on the front foot with us starting the match with the lads who haven't bin getting much game time and they didn't let us down we were well on top creating chance after chance..our football is coming on week by week and in the first half we played very well keeping the ball and getting stuck in (first to the ball)..the breakthrough came after 20 min the pressure paid off,Alvin was in pursuit of a through ball he managed to wriggle through using great strength and balance he got it onto his right foot and bent the ball into the far corner 1-0 VILLA...HT

Sringhead came into the game in the second half equalising early on a good goal 1-1 the game was end to end but we couldn't get going in the second half,we still created some chances hitting the bar twice and seeing some efforts just fly wide ...springhead took the lead towards the end and we couldn't god a way through Ft 2-1

Our man of the match was Kai he was solid today very vocal commanding his box and his kicking was A1 well done Kai...we need to keep our heads up and get ready for the reddish derby quarter final of the cup next sat...me and glen are as eager as ever to get the best out of the lads and are very excited for the future the team is bonding and we can go on from strength to strength...thanks for your support COME ON VILLA 👏🏻👏🏻

REDS GO THROUGH ON PENALTYS

Our villa reds were involved in another thriller this morning a great cup game that went all the way to penaltys....think we just edged the game and deserved to go through but all credit to chadderton for a great match

The game started end to end but after 5 minutes we were camped in there half looking for the first goal..alvin was involved in most of our good work and he was brought down for a free kick on the edge of the box.... Up stepped Millsy to curl the ball into the top corner 1-0 VILLA (18 goals in 17 games ).. The second goal came soon after alvin sending in a great corner was met by Joe curly who guided the ball into the far corner with a brave header 2-0 VILLA Joe was our best player in the first half worked his socks off 👏🏼..we should of added to our lead after the 2nd goal but we couldn't find a way through, right at the end of the first half chadderton pulled one back against the run of play 2-1 HT

the second half was end to end Kai was solid at the back commanding his box and clearing his lines every time..having Caiden back gave us some bite in midfield his solid tackling and positional sense is spot on he made countless tackles today winning the ball back for the team this won Caiden man of the match 🏆....Chadderton drew level with ten min to go which lead to a tense ten minutes...with only a few minutes to go came moment of the match a wonder goal from Ewan Forbes the ball got cleared towards the half way line and there was Ewan to volley the ball into the top corner from 30 yards goal of the season contender....3-2 VILLA but that wasn't the end of the action chadderton drew level in the last minute taking the game to penaltys 3-3 FT .....during the penalty shoot out nearly every player took one they had 2 pen to win and Kai saved one to win us the match some great pens from our lads 7-6 VILLA pens ..... This sets up a quarter final against local rivals RNE REDS thanks for your support another day to remember for villa reds ...

SLOW START PROVES COSTLY

there was a big opportunity missed from our team this weekend a slow start gave us too much to do in the second half and we couldn't find a way through a stub urn Marple defence...

The first half was one of our worst of the season the lads were flat on there heels and second to every ball...we had to shuffle the team around a little and a few of the lads were playing out of position which didn't help but we need to get the basics right and play every game like its a cup final 👊🏻...marple took a 2-0 lead into half time both goals were soft and if we get the basics right .. Communication.. Track your runners ... 1st to every ball ... We will stop making mistakes and become harder to beat....0-2 HT

We got into the game in the second half pulling a goal back scored by man of the match alvin this lad dragged us back into the game and if it wasn't for the good marple defence I'm sure we would of gone on to win but we gave them a 2-0 lead and we couldn't get the equaliser...Marple made it 1-3 at the end and probably deserve there final spot...

We have another chance in the cup on March 4th another early kick off so we need to learn from our mistakes and put it right
... Thanks for your support 👏🏻👏🏻

REDS INTO SEMI FINAL

Well what a match we had this morning, some of our football was a joy to watch and the lads stood strong against a rough side to claim the semi final spot...

To be fair we started the first half on the back foot the opening exchanges going to the Eagles...but once we found our groove we were far to good for the Eagles creating chance after chance...our first goal came from our brilliant goal keeper Kai he sent Millsy in one on one with an inch perfect through ball Millsy was the coolest player on the park guiding his shot past the keeper 1-0 VILLA...our two flying wingers alvin and Alfie are causing defenders all types of problems there pace and skill is to much for most teams and the lads deserve a special mention keep up the hard work you too 👏🏼👏🏼....our second goal was pure class alvin collected the ball on the left he quickly went from defence to attack skinning two eagle defenders he cut inside and drilled a pass into Ismael as he was about to control the ball he let it run through his legs which sent Millsy one on one with the keeper Millsy made no mistake finding the corner 2-0 VILLA (brilliant team goal)...16 goals for our top marksman....the lads were rampant at this point and it was only a matter of time before we made it 3 this time it was Ismael who found himself in a goal scoring position coley made no mistake smashing the ball home 3-0 VILLA HT

At the interval chadderton changed there tactics to basically try and kick us of the park but unfortunately for them they picked the wrong team to mess with and we gave as good as we got and this is a good lesson for our lads coaches and parents...we never got involved when it could of easily turned nasty.... Very proud of everyone involved on the day 👏🏼👏🏼... Chadderton did pull a couple of goals back in the second half and it was a relief to hear the final whistle a well deserved win and a semi final to look forward too this weekend...

Man of the match went to big joe curly who took the brunt of the chadderton assault during the match after the last match were Joe took some stick he never retaliated got on with his game and was solid throughout him and Alfie have a great combination going down the right its a joy to see....

The whole squad deserve a mention right down to Luke who never got on today but doesn't complain and his attitude is first class..your time will come Luke 👍🏻...

Me and glen are Very very proud coaches thanks for your support and roll on sat for our semi final COME ON VILLA ⚽️🏅🏆

WINNING RUN COMES TO AN END

Today was a funny game one that we were never deserved to be on the losing side in but poor finishing and a lack of concentration at the back cost us....

The first half was mostly spent in the Corinthians half we created a lot of chances and our football was good the lads passing and moving is coming on great which is why we are getting so many chances during the match we hit the bar 4 times and the post plus the Corinthians keeper made some good saves...we need to work on our finishing...we did take the lead and the goal came from Connor he was in the right place in the centre of the box and when the ball came to him he guided it back across the keeper 1-0 VILLA ...connor changed the game when he came on and is taking things on board at training and starting to bring it to match day well done Connor man of the match 🏆....Corinthians drew level on the stroke of half time a long shot took a deflection and Kai had no chance 1-1HT

We started the second half slowly the weather was getting to some of the lads and our concentration wasn't right on the small pitch at bel vue if you make a mistake you get punished and it was just one of them days Corinthians ran out 5-1 winners but the scoreline definitely flattering them... We need to work on our finishing and concentration levels for next weeks cup game I am going to put the squad up on Thursday and I need confirmation of who is playing it's important we get organised early....

All in all we played well in patches but Lady Luck wasn't with us today roll on next week to pu it right .... Thanks for your support 👏🏼👏🏼

REDS GO TOP

Two wins on the spin after the winter break has taken our lads to the top of the league..at times during this match we played some good football with our defence standing strong to some spring head pressure in the second half all in all another good display from the lads ...

The game was delayed by 20 min this morning and with it being so cold it took the lads a while to get going...we conceded first ten minutes into the match a mix up at the back led to there striker going in one on one and made no mistake 0-1 SPARTANS ... Once the lads found there rhythm we started to dominate creating chance after chance and for a while we thought it was going to be one of those days...finally we made the breakthrough the ball falling to Millsy in the box making no mistake 1-1...Spartans couldn't get the ball out of there half and all the pressure led to our second good work from Millsy on the left turning the spring head defence inside out he pulled the ball back for Connor to smash it into an empty net 2-1 VILLA ... The goal of the game was our third Ewan Forbes collected the ball 25 yards out let it drop and sent his shot into the net goooooooaaaaaaalll 👌🏻...3-1VILLA ..over the past few weeks Ewan has raised his game and is doing great on match day and at training (hard work really does pay off ) well done Ewan 👏🏼👏🏼HT 3-1
In the second half we missed plenty of chances but played some great football along the way big shout to alvin for his hard work with and without the ball earning him the joint man of the match along with Millsy who scored his 14 th goal in 13 games his decision making is improving and that will lead to his all round game improving... With us scoring three in the first half all we had to do was not concede and between Kai Kian Joe Leo and Ewan there was no chance of them scoring the lads putting there bodies on the line to keep them out tremendous defending...

All we need now is commitment from everyone from now till the end of the season and who knows where it will lead...training 7-8-30 Wednesday... Thanks for your support on a freezing morning in Oldham ❄️ and getting the lads there on time 👏🏼👏🏼... COME ON VILLA

REDS GET OF TO WINNING START

The boys got the second half of the season under way with a win against a good glossop NE side,we have also broke the jinx of not winning an early kick off (9-00) so all round a good solid day at the office for the team...

considering it was a 9-00 kick off the lads started the game on the front foot we were first to the ball and looked switched on from the word go...big shout to Adam and glen for the warm up worked a treat 👏🏼👏🏼....during the first half we played some of our best football of the season there are some great partnerships forming in the team and the hard work on the training ground is starting to show in our passing and moving ...our first goal came midway through the first Alvin wriggled free on the edge of the box getting in one and one with a good glossop alvin coolly slotted it past the keeper 1-0 VILLA..glossops equaliser came from a mix up at the back leaving the striker in on goal he managed to squeeze it past Kai 1-1 HT

The second half was end to end glossop having good spells in our half but not able to beat our brilliant defence who are starting to look solid Kai , Leo , Ewan , Joe and captain Kian w all played there part in keeping them at bay...the winner came on the break Kai sent the ball over the top which alvin latched onto he had yards to make up on the defender but he won the race getting in one on one and slotting under the keeper 2-1 VILLA...

Man of the match was Ewan Forbes his confidence on the ball is great he doesn't panic and found his pass time and time again...also strong in the tackle winning most of his individual duals...keep it up Ewan 👏🏼..

if the lads can give us 100% from now to the end of the season we will be up there fighting for the title but it's down to the lads and there attitude to training and wanting to listen and learn...no game next week but training back on st Joseph's 7-00 - 8-30 thanks for your support COME ON VILLA 👊🏻⚽️

DICKSON TREBLE ⚽️⚽️⚽️
Another victory today for our villa reds we dominated most of the game scoring some great goals and keeping another clean sheet...we have played over two hours now without conceding a goal which is fantastic and let's hope we can keep the run going this coming weekend...

We started the match slowly for the second week running...big credit to our keeper Kai for another solid display in the sticks some good saves and his distribution was first class he kept the tigers at bay...the first goal was against the run of play Alfie latching onto a through ball kept his composure burying the ball into the back of the net 1-0 VILLA ..the second came at the end of the first half Alfie on hand to steer the ball home after a goal mouth scramble...2-0 VILLA HT...

The second half was much better from us our passing is improving the boys playing plenty of one twos and the movement off the ball is being transferred from the training pitch onto match which me and glen are really happy about....the third goal came on the counter attack Kai sent a great pass down the right flank which Alfie latched onto his pace took him clear of the defence and he kept his cool to claim his hat trick smashing the ball into the roof of the net 3-0 VILL HAT TRICK...a well deserved man of the match Alfie also made 3/4 more opportunities for the strikers in the second half ...well done Alfie 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻...the fourth goal was another breakaway this time it was Ismael one on one with the keeper he also drew the keeper out and slotted the ball into the corner great finish 4-0 VILLA FT

want to thank everyone for your support things are going from strength to strength one more game before Christmas 🎄 let's get another win and set ourselves up for atitle charge after the break COME ON VILLA 👊🏼⚽️

REDS GO MARCHING ON

Solid performance today from our lads, with a few players missing we still had a decent side out and played some of the best football of the season..Connor Robinson was at the centre of some of our passing moves with a first time back heel pass during the second half a touch of class ...resulting in him winning man of the match well done Connor 👏🏻👏🏻⭐️

We started the game with a more attacking line up 1-3-1-3-1....we were camped in the Waterloo half for long spells in the first half,we had numerous corners and Ismael delivering some great crosses we couldn't find abreakthrough...on a rare Waterloo attack we conceded a penalty ...it was a well struck pen but our no1 Kai made a great save one of the only saves he had to make in the entire match...top save well done Kai 👏🏻👏🏻...the breakthrough came soon after caiden pressed there defence high up the pitch winning the ball on the edge of the box...he then sent a rocket into the roof of the net 1-0 VILLA HT

the second half was much of the same all of the lads deserve a Mention they all give it 100% today, the defence kept our first clean sheet Kian Wright shining at the heart of the defence a true warrior his attitude to match day and training is tremendous 👍🏻...the second came towards the end of the game and it came from the spot...Millsy made no mistake planting the ball in the corner 2-0 VILLA...so all round a good day at the office...

big shout to glen also...he's on 🔥🔥 at the minute his sessions on the training ground are starting to show on match day...and it's bin a major factor in our run of good results 👏🏻👏🏻

ROBINSON AT THE DOUBLE BUT WINNING STREAK COMES TO AN END...

The curse of the nine o clock struck again as our winning run came to an end,,

We started the game on the back foot for the first ten minutes allowing the Eagles plenty of time on the ball which resulted in us going 1-0 down,,,after going 1-0 down we woke up and dominated the next part of the first half Ewan Forbes was all over the pitch winning tackles and getting us possession back..great work from Ewan earning him the man of the match award well done Ewan 👏🏻👏🏻...the equaliser was coming and after good work from alvin Connor was there to tap in his first of the season ⭐️...1-1HT

The second belonged to the Eagles they cruised into a 5-1 lead we weren't getting the rub of the green and let's not get started on the ref 😡...the one hilight was Connor picking up his second goal with a cool finish sliding the ball in from a tight angle absolutely made up for him he deserves it he's a great trainer and bin part of this team from the very beginning well done Connor 👏🏻👏🏻...

No game this weekend are next game is in the cup on the 19th but the draw hasn't bin made yet thanks for your support and see you on Wednesday

3 ON THE TROTT FOR VILLA REDS

today wasn't our best performance of the season but it's a good sign when you don't play well and win...we are starting to build some momentum and next weeks nine o clock kick off will hopefully be another hurdle we can overcome (having never won at that time before)...

We started today's game slow and were caught out in the first couple of minutes not clearing our lines the RNE striker was on hand to tap it into an empty net 0-1...but to our credit we were back on level terms almost straight away, good work from alvin sent the birthday boy Ismael in one on one he kept his nerve smashing the ball into the roof of the net 1-1...great finish 👏🏻👏🏻...we were soon in front Millsy sent a header goal bound which there player handled on the line PENALTY...jay stepped up and made no mistake 2-1 villa... Our third goal was a great move starting from our keeper Kai we broke from one end to the other with alvin coolly dinking the keeper 3-1 villa HT

In the second half we were not at the races and if it wasn't for our new no1 Kai we would of probably lost the game...he was solid on crosses his kicking was spot on and he organised his defence brilliantly earning himself the man of the match trophy well done Kai...RNE got one goal back but the game finished 3-2 villa... That's another win and we are climbing the table so me and glen our happy with the progression the lads are making...

Again thanks for your support it means a lot to us and the players 👏🏻👏🏻...roll on training Wednesday back on st Joseph's 👍🏻⚽️

DERBY DELIGHT FOR VILLA REDS

first of all want to say thank you to our wonderful parents /grandparents for your support today it was a red hot atmosphere and you played your part in a great day for our team 👏🏻👏🏻
Me and glen had been to watch RNE in there last three games to try and give us a closer look at the opposition to find there strengths and weeknesses...at training gaz worked with the defenders and I think it paid off as they never gave north end front three a sniff so big well done to our back 4 👏🏻👏🏻...resulting in a man of the match display from captain joe curly 👍🏻
The match was an end to end affair...our keeper Kai didn't have a great deal to do but was solid and his kicking was first class clearing his lines when needed...the deadlock was broken half way through the first half alvin managed to wriggle free on the edge of the box and once he got it on his right foot there was only one outcome top corner 1-0 VILLA...well deserved lead..the north end equaliser came in controversial fashion the ball NOT crossing the line but the ref gave the goal..causing some ruptions on and off the pitch HT 1-1

The second half was much of the same one of the highlights being Jamie howarth a free kick which crashed against the bar...but the best was yet to come and with 2 mins left alvin put a ball into the mixer and after a scramble it fell to Millsy in the right place at the right time to stick it home sending me into Jose mourinho mode running on to the pitch to celebrate with the lads 2-1 VILLA what a moment...FT 2-1

RNE may have a good facility but it's players that get results and we did it in there own back yard...it's important the lads take every game and training session with the same commitment....if they do we will keep getting better COME ON VILLA REDS ⚽️

First of all would like to thank all our parents and everyone connected to villa that came to cheer our boys on today it really does help when your all there 👏🏻👏🏻...
I want to start by welcoming Kia and his family into our reddish villa reds family thought Kia had a solid debut and will be a great asset to the squad 👍🏻
We played droylsden today who have won all three of there games this season which made our 6-3 win even better...I have being saying for weeks that when we are at full strength we are a match for any team and today was that day the lads every one of them played there hearts out and me and glen are over the moon with the effort and performance,it's very important that we keep this squad together now and will go from strength to strength..

Today's game was one of our best from Kia right up to Ismael every player played there part...Millsy scored 5 goals which takes his tally to 9 in 5...

We played 3 at the back today pushing Jamie h into midfield which gave our front three more time and space to hurt the opposition.....and they certainly did we scored 2 early goals Millsy getting them both one a pen and a close range effort 2-0 villa ..Panthers biggest threat was there no10 who was twice the size of our back 3 but over the course of the game kian w (who is a year younger) got the better of him overall but couldn't stop him making it 2-1....
Goals 3/4 were brilliant both made by our returning star alvin who skinned there full back pulled a cross back where Millsy rose like a salmon to make it 3-1 HATTRICK..the fourth was a carbon copy good work from alvin but this time Millsy guided the volley into the top corner...WHAT A GOAL 4-1 villa HT...

The second half was end to end but our back 4stood strong and we were getting them on the counter attack with Millsy getting another pen 5-1...as the lads were understandably tiring Panthers got a couple back, things got a little nervy until Ewan stiles stuck his bouncing shot into the top corner 6-3 villa FT

ALL of the boys played there part and over the course of the season they will get plenty of game time,we have 4 coaches at training to help us along the way and the only way is up for villa reds...

Derby next week where our x player told me and glen there gonna beat us 50-0...well that's my team talk sorted for next week thanks again and I'll see you on Wednesday at training COME ON VILLA REDS ⚽️

It's bin a very turbulent start to the season after two players leaving us it has bin a struggle from one week to the next.. On the plus side we now have glen on board and we are doing all we can to fill the holes left from the lads going...having players injured hasn't helped either but we have everyone back for training this week so things are looking up...

On Saturday we got off to a bad start with having only 9 players and Ewan carrying a knee injury it was backs to the wall for the first ten minutes where we conceded two goals,no fault of our keeper on the day Owen who having never played in net before did a great job for the team and is going to be a great asset to the squad well done owen👏🏻👏🏻...
We got back into the game with our captain Jamie howarth scoring a 25 yard screamer his first of the season and I'm sure there's many more to come 👍🏻
Although short on numbers there was some really good football played from our boys and me and glen took a lot of positives from the game....our top scorer Jamie mills got our other goal and the game finished 6-2 which wasn't a true reflection of the game...

Let's get these lads fired up for the upcoming games and training sessions...we can turn this round but need everyone on board players parents and coaches...

Thanks for your support and see you on Wednesday

firstly would like to say how proud I am of the lads for effort and commitment in a game which was not easy for anyone players/coaches/parents...this is one game where it would of been nice to field a full side but the lads that were not on holiday big congratulations on doing us all proud fighting till the final whistle against a strong RV line up 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻...

The game was an even contest throughout with RV scoring from a goal mouth scramble midway through the first half/a goal that we seem to conceed every week and something we are working on for the upcoming season...we had our chances too but with our 3 leading goalscorers on holiday we were struggling to find the back of the net..... at one point we had 5 players at under 10 out there 3 play for cookys team Ryan,Toby and Harry thanks for the help lads much appreciated 👏🏻👏🏻...RV second came from another corner max was left unmarked in the box to nod home 2-0 HT...

In the second half it felt like RV was playing a cup final appealing for everything even when the ball was blatantly ours but our lads didn't rise to it and got on with the game...well done lads 👏🏻👏🏻...(I owe the ref an apology after losing my rag sorry ref 🤐)...I can't say I'm not disappointed with the result but I am 100% happy with the progression our boys are showing week in week out at full strength were a match for any team...onwards and upwards for the Reds...this time last year we had no coach no attackers and no hope and look how far we have come 😊 Got a week off now back to training on the 10th Aug...

Thank you for your support me and Steve are truly grateful your the best...now it's time to go back to the 2p slot machines 👍🏻⚽️👏🏻👏🏻

This was the First game of the summer league in which we have had a full squad to choose from and when we are at full strength we can give anyone a run for there money and barcastar were on the end of a brilliant display from our lads this afternoon......

our new pre match warm up did the trick again and the lads were quick out of the blocks pinning barca in there own half for the first 15 mins, anything that got cleared was mopped up from our two centre halfs (Kian w Jamie h ) who both have the composure to play the ball out of defence and into the midfield...which shows there progression and is great to see 👏🏻👏🏻...it was only a matter of time before the first goal came and it was an own goal...goal no2 soon followed,a kian warby corner got cleared back to kian who put a brilliant cross back into the mixer where Jamie mills buried a fantastic header into the roof of the net (great goal).... HT 2-0

In the second half we put some great moves together and kian warburton was involved in all of them, barca couldn't cope with him his pace and mazy runs, now he has added an end product to his game it's a joy to watch...he set up 3 more goals in the second half, getting to the touch line and pulling the ball back for alvin X1 Alfie x1 and another own goal.....the lads switched off a couple of times allowing barca to pull a couple of goals back but the game finished 7-3

Man of the match went to kian Wright his best game in a villa shirt...did not put a foot wrong all game...strong in a tackle never panicked and his distribution was first class....all the boys did great today joe curly and Ewan Forbes played there wing back roles well ... Roll on tomorrow against RNE....thanks for your support 👏🏻👏🏻

Horrendous conditions this morning for for football so a big thank you to everyone that braved the weather.... and for those that did,saw an entertaining end to end match that could of gone either way but unfortunately we Ended up losing 4-3.....

After a scrappy start to the game we took the lead through a 25 yard effort which found the bottom corner and the first of the season for Connor Robinson after good work from mills in midfield 1-0 VILLA,, with the lack of defenders in the squad today we were playing players out of position and we were punished conceding 3 goals in quick succession going 1-3 down..the Stanley goal was living a charmed life as the villa pushed on looking to get back in the game resulting in us having a couple of penalty shouts turned down and hitting the woodwork twice....1-3 HT...

We had a re shuffle at half time playing joe Curley in a back three along side Kian and Leo we looked more solid but it was all about scoring at the other end and the breakthrough came 20 min into the second half...great work from alvin on the right lead to him pulling his cross back for jay jay mills to volley home (great finish) 2-3...as we were pushing for an equaliser we caught on the break 2-4...but we bounced back straight away and scored a carbon copy of the last goal with Alfie Dickson on the end of alvins cross 3-4... We pushed on at the end but couldn't find the equaliser that we deserved 3-4 FT...man of the match went to alvin for his 2 assists and relentless runs at the opposition 👏🏻👏🏻....like Steve said at the end we are becoming hard to beat and on another day we would of won today unlucky boys and thanks for your support 👍🏻⚽️

After recent results me and Steve decided to go back to basics and get some structure into training and match days and in the first week we have benefited with the best performance of the summer league....with our new pre match warm up the boys were quick out the blocks and soon made it 1-0 with Jay Jay mills pouncing in the box after good good work from Kian warby..for the first time in a long time our defensive were spectators but solid when called upon...goal number 2 soon arrived and it was Kian Warburton who got his first of the season again reacting first in the box to steer the ball home 2-0 villa...again the brilliant trio of mills, warby and Alvin combined for Alvin to score no4 of the season 3-0 villa....ballers got one back before half time with a mix up in our box allowed there CF a simple tap 3-1 HT...after the break our new signing Alfie Dixon joined the party with some mazy runs and got the ballers on the back foot again (well done Alfie 👏🏻)..Kian Warburtons corners were causing the opposition problems and Jaime mills was on hand to fire his 2nd and our 4th into the roof of the net 4-1 villa...the lads weren't finished there and scored a great team goal 3/4 lads involved in the move which left Alvin on the edge of the box to rifle it into the bottom corner (great finish 👏🏻)...followed by his trademark back flip celebration...now the challenge for the lads is to string 2 wins together something we haven't managed since me and Steve took over...me and Steve are very proud coachs today onwards and upwards for our little superstars and thanks for your support 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The team have been improving week on week with today being set a new level that we must maintain. Was the game won by our dominance or by our opponents not being up to the task. The first we hope but time will tell. Each week recently the kids have made it really hard to pick a MOTM with Keean, Ismael both scoring 2 and Keean at times being completely unstoppable. Connor again giving his solid performance and a goal. Then the ever improving Tyler scoring again. Our MOTM was Joseph giving an energetic and skillfully performance and at times playing at centre half for the first time without it showing. The team can't wait for next week

This game covered nearly every cliché in the book as regards it being one sided. The score says 1-1 but in reality it could of been 5 with clear cut chances and maybe 8 with others. The possible 8-1 result was defiantly a reality as at the end of the game the boys were really disappointed with a few bottom lips trembling which shows we really care. As a team though we are getting better and better each week with no ends to the limitations. With our goalkeeper Louis being a great foundation for us to build a really strong team. We have a great defence with Leo and our captain Kian through to our ever improving midfielders Keean ,Jamie, Joseph, Connor and our most advanced player Ismael. Also this week we got a fine performance and goal from our squad player Tyler Burns. Who my have been practising his goal celebrations as he gave us a Ronaldo stance after his goal. So proud of the boys. Well Done

From game one to now game four. You cannot compare this team. From disjointed football with no real end product to passing dribbling concerted pressure. We have come so far. From the start of this game we were the only team in it with Keean Warburton Connor, Ismael and Jamie actually running the game. The first goal came from this with one of our several attacks resulted in us being awarded a corner. Keean took the corner and a fine one to with it attacking the heart of the opposition goalmouth and then Ismael rose on his own to head it home in a fashion way beyond his years. The first half continued in this way and because of this we scored our second. The dominant Keean Warburton who was our MOTM scored it.So 2-0 at the break and with changes made to give everyone a run out the tide changed and we leaked unanswered goals. This is no reflection on the centre half partnership which has been formed between Kian Wright and Leo Greenhalgh they have been outstanding and are getting better.

At last we had a full squad to choose from , and it defiantly showed in our performance. First half was our half. We played our best football of the season and our goal came from a build up from the defence into midfield then the ball broke to Ismael on the right wing. He then ran half the pitch with the ball at his feet out paced the defence and wiped the ball into the goalmouth for Connor Robinson to side foot it home first time. Great goal. Unfortuantley football is a game of two halves and in the second we fell away a little and conceded two soft goals. With that being said the performance was the most important thing and a great platform to build of.

We were on a hiding to nothing from the start as our original opponents were unable to get the required players so we played their first team. As this was only our second game ever we were a little bit out of our league. With this in mind we did put up a good defensive performance with our centre half and man of the match Kian Wright showing his team mates exactly what commitment is. He was committed to the cause. Again I need to mention our Keeper who again was outstanding.

Well this was mine and the teams first game. Where to start? First the performance was outstanding considering the limited time we have had since we set this team up. There was some great football played but without the end result but I'm sure this will change with more training and experience as some of the kids had not even played a competitive match before. We also had a small squad as four of the kids were away for various reasons, leaving us with only one sub. So tiredness was a big factor in the second half with the score telling us this as it was only 1-0 at the break.
